Introduction

Every developer eventually reaches a point where a simple portfolio template is no longer enough. I wanted something that could serve as both my personal website and a scalable content management platform.

Instead of using a traditional CMS, I decided to build everything from scratch using modern technologies and a production-grade architecture.

Technology Stack

Next.js 15
React 19
TypeScript
Supabase
PostgreSQL
Tailwind CSS
Framer Motion

Architecture

One of my primary goals was maintaining a Single Source of Truth (SSOT) architecture. Every piece of content is managed through a centralized admin panel and served using cached data layers.

A scalable architecture saves countless hours in future maintenance.

Dynamic Content

Rather than hardcoding information, every page pulls data directly from the database through reusable cache functions. This approach keeps the website fast while making content management effortless.

Sample Code

export const getCachedProjects = unstable_cache(
  async () => {
    return await fetchProjects()
  },
  ['portfolio_projects'],
  {
    tags: ['portfolio_projects']
  }
)

Performance Strategy

Feature	Implementation
Rendering	Static + Cached
Database	Supabase PostgreSQL
Cache	unstable_cache
Deployment	Vercel

Key Features

Dynamic Homepage
Database-driven Resume
Projects Management
Blog CMS
Contact Management
Dynamic SEO
Automatic Revalidation

Final Thoughts

Building your own ecosystem instead of relying on templates gives you complete control over performance, scalability, and future development. While it requires more effort initially, the long-term benefits are significant.

This portfolio is designed not only to showcase my work but also to serve as a production-ready foundation for future expansion.
